About the Russian Language Program

Russian is one of the most important languages in the world. It is the most geographically widespread language within the Eurasian landmass, and it is the most spoken language in Europe. Russian is one of the six official languages of the United Nations and It is also considered the most popular second language in terms of literature, scientific and technical activity.

The Russian language belongs to one of the largest military and economic powers in the world, the strategic importance of the State of Russia gives great weight to learning the Russian language.

The Russian Language Program was established in 2020 and offers a B.A. degree in the Russian language. Its program is designed to help students successfully attain an advanced level of oral proficiency in Russian by the time they graduate. In addition to language courses at all levels, students have the opportunity to take a variety of courses in Russian literature, theoretical and applied linguistics, and translation. Creative and modern teaching methods are used in line with the college’s vision and mission statements.

Keen to provide a high level of quality assurance for the program, the college administration has signed a scientific cooperation agreement with Lomonosov Moscow State University. According to convention and the specialization plan accredited by the college, students will attend the university for four semesters
