On 22 January 2026, Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College celebrated the graduation of its 21st Batch of officer candidates as part of the joint graduation ceremony for Qatar’s military colleges, held at the college’s premises. Graduates from Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Air Academy, Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Naval Academy, and the Cyber Space Academy also participated in the ceremony. The four institutions had a total of 534 graduates.
The ceremony was held under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar. It was also attended by His Excellency the Minister of State for Defense Affairs, His Excellency the Chief of Staff, several senior officials and officers, invited guests, and the graduates’ families. The ceremony was a proud occasion for the graduates and their families and highlighted the efforts of the military colleges and academies in educating, training, and preparing officer candidates.
During the ceremony, the Qatar Armed Forces announced the establishment of Tamim bin Hamad University for Military and Technology Sciences, which will serve as an academic umbrella that strengthens integration among military institutions. The university comprises Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College, Al Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Attiya Air Academy, Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Naval Academy, the Cyber Space Academy, the Military Technical College, and the Center for Strategic Studies.
The ceremony also reflected the State of Qatar’s commitment to developing military education, promoting the values of discipline, responsibility, and loyalty among officer candidates, and preparing them to serve their country.
