Bachelor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Overview

Supply chain management (SCM) plays a key role in day-to-day operations management in modern institutions, especially the military.
Supply Chain Management consists of creating effective and barrier-free solutions for the flow of information, products, and services from the supplier to the end-user. The main processes involved in SCM include strategic planning, procurement, logistics, and resource management. In addition, supply chain management involves designing effective information systems that enable data sharing among key players of the supply chain, developing operations management solutions to maximize benefit and reduce cost, as well as adopting innovative and creative strategies to deal with changes that occur inside and outside the organization.
Given the importance of SCM in today’s global economy, it is crucial for military academic institutions to train qualified professionals in this field. For this purpose, Ahmed bin Mohammed military college (ABMMC) offers the supply chain management program which is designed to provide cadets with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in this field. Graduates of this program will have the expertise to establish strong, long-term, and mutually beneficial connections with contractors, business partners and suppliers. Similarly, they will acquire the skills to coordinate complex supply chain operations related to procurement, storage, handling, packaging, and distribution of goods, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
