ABMMC ‘s 21st batch have visited the Qatar Mobility Innovations Center (QMIC)

On Tuesday, 03-05-2024, the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science organized a scientific visit for the students of the 21st batch (Group 1 and Group 2) to the Qatar Mobility Innovations Center (QMIC) in Education City, accompanied by Dr. Adnan Ghannam and Dr. Abdel-Jalil Abdel-Rahman Mohammed. They were received by the Executive Director of the Center, Dr. Adnan Abu Dayyeh, the Director of the Strategic Partnerships and Public Relations Department, Mr. Omar M. Al-Jaber, and the Director of Technology and Research, Dr. Fathi Filali, who welcomed them and gave them a detailed explanation of the center’s most important innovative products, such as Falcon-I, a smart platform, which exploits artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) for automated intelligence across various domains, using video feeds for continuous monitoring and optimization of operations, and Wamd, a platform that provides intelligent transportation solutions, enhancing traffic monitoring, logistics management, and road safety through data analytics and IoT. The students were also introduced to the HUMIDEX application, a smart solution for measuring heat stress, ensures the safety and well-being of individuals, especially in outdoor environments, in accordance with Qatar’s labor standards and global practices. Finally, the students were introduced to the Wain application, a leading mobile navigation service in Qatar, offers smart routing, parking assistance, and a unique Stadium Parking Assistant feature for an improved navigation experience.

At the end of this visit, students were bid farewell by the Executive Director of the Center, Dr. Adnan Abu Dayyeh, the Director of the Strategic Partnerships and Public Relations Department, Mr. Omar M. Al-Jaber, and the Director of Technology and Research, Dr. Fathi Filali.
